The part that makes this so simple: the cheeses. Crystal Farms makes Bacon Cheddar and a Pepper Jack block cheese. This saves you from having to cook the bacon and dice up the jalapenos. Hooray for easy!
Turn up the tunes and get to cookin'!
Ingredients:
1 block of Crystal Farms Bacon Cheddar, diced into cubes
1 block of Crystal Farms Pepper Jack, diced into cubes
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp. garlic
2 tsp. dried minced onions
2/3 c heavy cream
1 box dried pasta (I used Rotini)
Heat a medium sauce pan over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt until it's bubbly. Add the onion and garlic. Stir well. Add the cream and let it come to a light boil. Add the cheese slowly to the simmering cream, stirring constantly. This will take time, but your patience will pay off! Once all off the cheese has been added to the pan, stir until the cubes have fully melted. Reduce the heat to LOW and cover. Stir occasionally.
Prepare pasta as directed on the package. Drain the water and toss the pasta back into the large pot. Pour the cheese sauce over the pasta. Stir to combine.
Serve in bowls and garnish with fresh chopped tomatoes.
